In this option the rays can be stopped at a selected test plane. It is accessed at databuilder/tracing rays/ray limits.
The test plane might be specified to have a multiple number of crossings before it becomes active -then the rays would cross that multiple number of times before being stopped. This is useful for example in systems in which the particles have oscillating or rotating motion.
