'end con, thin' occurs twice, for 2 neighbouring electrodes, in order to simulate a more visible part of a cone.  It becomes even more visible if

the x=0 and y=0 reflection planes are used.  Note also that for these electrodes the geodesic nearly moves outside the defined boundary planes 

(and in fact it does move outside if the 2 triangles are made thinner).


Note the method of subdivision of the thin triangles: it tends to be different from the more regular method for triangles that are not thin, where successive bisection of the longest side is used.
