Obtaining the best accuracy and speed

 

At the risk of being repetitive, we repeat the warning given earlier:

 

The overall inaccuracy given by CPO2D and CPO3D can be extremely small, but we strongly advise at the beginning of a study AGAINST trying to solve a problem by selecting

very small inaccuracies for the rays or

large numbers of segments or

short step lengths or times for the ray tracing.

Follow the strategy described in this chapter to minimize the computing time and to obtain estimates of the errors in the final results.
