Disabling iterative subdivision (adaptive segmentation).
For technical reasons, the subdivision steps cannot be used if there is a plane of potential antisymmetry and if any segment touches that plane.
When only 1 step is requested, and the final number of segments is greater than the initial number, then the segments are all subdivided by approximately the same amount.
Again for technical reasons, values of the 'weight charge' factor less than 0.1 will be changed to 0.1 (but then all the segments will still be subdivided at each step by approximately the same amount).
