Charged-particle ray trace Decorative artwork in the style of a CPO simulation plot: charged-particle trajectories, drawn as fine lines, converge through a crossover at a focal point marked by a glowing dot — the kind of ray trace the CPO programs produce.

CPO3DS

Simulation of 3-dimensional electrostatic systems including space charge and cathodes — with planes of reflection symmetry used to increase accuracy where they exist.

About CPO3DS

The Boundary Element Method is charge-based, which makes it ideally suited to space charge and cathodes — sources and beams are represented directly.

Everything in CPO3D, fully relativistic — automatic focusing, lens properties, secondary rays, time-varying voltages, electrode shapes from a library or defined by user’s equations — plus space-charge simulation, cathodes and pulsed beams.

A very large range of template data files illustrate the accuracy and speed, backed by an exceptionally comprehensive on-line Help system. A ‘dielectric’ option can be added.
