About CPO2DS

The Boundary Element Method is charge-based, which makes it ideally suited to space charge and cathodes — sources and beams are represented directly.

A program for the simulation of 2-dimensional electrostatic systems, including the simulation of space-charge and cathodes. The 2 dimensions are either r and z for rotationally symmetric systems, or x and z for planar systems.

Everything in CPO2D, fully relativistic — automatic focusing, lens properties, secondary rays, time-varying voltages, electrode shapes from a library or defined by user’s equations — plus space-charge simulation, cathodes and pulsed beams.

A very large range of template data files illustrate the accuracy and speed, backed by an exceptionally comprehensive on-line Help system.
